Zamparelli forced onto the sidelines due to lack of sponsorship

BRDC Rising Star Dino Zamparelli was forced to sit out rounds 3 and 4 of the Italian F3 Championship at Hockenheim due to lack of funding. The 17 year old star was due to fly out to Italy for some testing and was then expected to compete in the race in Germany, before being hit with sponsorship issues.
Zamparelli, who is part of the MSA AASE program, was looking forward to building and improving his way up the order after his start at Misano. “It was such a disappointment not to have made the grid at Hockenheim. I was looking forward to progressing with the car and learning more over the weekend.
“Unfortunately sponsorship is a huge part in motorsport and these things happen. What’s important now is that we get some sponsorship and go racing again soon. I’m confident that with everyone working behind me and in my favour, we’ll be back on the grid at Imola.”
Even though ‘down’ about the situation, Zamparelli was quick to point out that he’s not ‘out’ as well. “This is, I’m afraid, part of the game. Although I was disappointed, I remain motivated for the next event. I’ve been keeping myself really fit at the gym and sharp for when the opportunity comes.”
