Zamparelli to contest last round of Formula Renault BARC

Dino Zamparelli’s long wait to get back into a racing car has finally come to an end. Zamparelli is being drafted in by Antel Motorsport for this weekend’s (17.10.10) Formula Renault BARC meeting at Thruxton.

Commenting on his return to racing Dino said, “It will be tough just getting stuck in straight away after 6 months out of a car. However, I love challenges and this will certainly be one for me.”

The BRDC Rising Star will go straight into qualifying at Thruxton with no testing at the circuit. However, still unfazed, Zamparelli believes his experience at the circuit will be key.

“I had two front row starts here last year; finished 3rd in the first race and dominated the second race. I know where the grip is and this will give me an advantage over my competitors.”

“My aim is to get comfortable with the car straight away and iron out any rustiness. Obviously it’s going to be a massive challenge but I’m very much looking forward to it.”
