Race One
Dino qualified in 4th position for both races after a disappointing qualifying session. He started the race well and held his position, moving into 3rd by the end of the first lap. On the second lap he edged past Dominic Pettit into second place on the straight line. He ‘squabbled’ a little with George Richardson, allowing George to take the win.
Quote from Dino: “After trading places and blocking for my position, I got a little gap between me and George and made it across the line in second. This was definitely one of my hardest races yet as every lap was relentless pressure. I had to be on my toes all the time.”
Race Two
Dino got off the starting line well, and by the second corner he’d moved up to 2nd place from 4th. He was then in the slip stream of Daniel Lloyd and ready to make a move. Going into Tower, he was racing right along the side of Daniel, but a collision caused Dino to go off the track. As a result, his steering was damaged and his race was at an end.
Quote from Dino: “It’s really annoying because I was ready to fight for the win. I had the immediate pace and was off the blocks in a shot. Unfortunately, Lloyd decided it would be a good idea to crash me out. A thanks to the team for all their efforts and I still maintain a comfortable championship lead.”
