Zamparelli to Spearhead Formula Renault BARC Title Attack

Eighteen year-old BRDC Rising Star Dino Zamparelli will compete in the Formula Renault BARC series, after agreeing a deal with Antel Motorsport for 2011.

Zamparelli makes a return to the championship after completing a successful debut in 2009 claiming 3 wins, 9 podiums and 3rd overall. Last year, he was forced to sit the year out due to lack of sponsorship but has now expressed his happiness in returning to the action this year.

“It’s great to be back on track! Last year was tough for me but we kept pushing and pushing to raise the finance but it just didn’t happen. However, it feels great to be back and to get back racing is an exciting prospect for me.”

Zamparelli also stressed the importance of focusing on 2012 as well as this year. “It’s critical that we focus on building up the momentum for this year and take it in to 2012. For me, this is about looking and thinking about the next step.

“This year will allow me to get back racing again and will give us more time to find backing for 2012, where I would aim to move up into a more senior category.”

The first round of the Formula Renault BARC Championship starts on the 23rd /24th of April 2011 at Donington Park
