Dino's Profile

Dino Zamparelli was born in 1992 and attended The Downs School in Bristol between the ages of three and seven. He started go-karting at the early age of three, A young Dinoencouraged by his father, Mike Zamparelli, who was a very successful Formula One Powerboat racer from 1986 until 1996. So there is plenty of inherited speed in the Italian/English family genes.

At the age of seven Dino went with his family to live in the South of France, where he attended the International School of Monaco until 2006. During this period he carried on Kart racing in the category Minime aged 9, moving up to Junior category for one year, before progressing on to racing Karts in Italy (JICA Series) where, in one particular race, he completed 25 laps maintaining and finishing in 1st place, claiming both the fastest lap and lap record!

Dino then raced in the Stars of Tomorrow Series and the JICA Super 1 Series, getting regular top ten finishes. Even at this early age he already had many race wins under his belt.

Dino now attends the Queen Elizabeth's Hospital Boys School in Clifton, where they are very supportive of his racing career.

DinoDino's ambition has always been to be a Formula One Grand Prix racing driver, and with his early racing pedigree and fluency in four languages (english, italian, french and spanish), he certainly has all the markings of making it to the very top in motor sport.

Dino moved from driving karts to cars when he recently joined the Ginetta Championship Junior Series. This Series was introduced in 2003 for racers aged 14 – 16 years old as a natural progression route from kart racing.

The 2008 season comprised of 12 race weekends with ten supporting the British Touring Cars and a further two at Ginetta standalone Festivals. The BTCC meetings were televised live on ITV4 on Sundays.

A 15 minute qualifying session determines grid positions for the weekend’s two 15-minute races. A driver’s fastest lap in this time is taken into account for race one’s grid, whilst their second fastest lap relates to their starting position for race two.

Dino & The Muzz TeamDino's engineer and the team boss, Stef Matuszak says it all: 'He shows great promise. To come in and race a car like you have been racing for years is a fantastic achievement. I was impressed by his pure racing talent and the will to win. Which no doubt he will be doing regularly in 2008'.

This season Dino has won 10 races, achieved 15 podiums, and has set numerous records for fastest laps. Dino is developing the reputation of not only being very quick, but he is a very exciting driver to watch.
